SnoCo. Flower Collective

We aim to make local flowers accessible to people in our community.

Community, not competition.

Established in 2023, SnoCo. Flower Collective was created to foster community. By working together to serve our communities, we’re creating a supportive ecosystem where success is shared and challenges are overcome collectively, strengthening the fabric of local agriculture.

To the people of our communities: We aim to make locally grown flowers accessible to you. Whether it’s to create an arrangement for yourself, a friend, a loved one, or for a special event, we want to make it easy for you to shop local.

To our fellow farmers: We aim to provide education, training, and resources, to empower individuals to become successful farmers, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the agricultural field. By working together to break down barriers and create a welcoming and inclusive environment, we can ensure a vibrant and prosperous future for agriculture and our communities.

Our Mission

As farmers, we serve our community better when we work together. In 2020, the U.S. imported $1.6 billion in cut flowers, making it the largest importer of cut flowers in the world (OEC). With the steady decline of farms each year, this large amount of imported product will continue to jeopardize local farms. However, there is a way we can work together to tackle this and take back the floral industry. Per the USDA ERS 2021 data, 89% of farms in the U.S. are small farms. Just imagine what could be accomplished if all the small farms banded together.

Support and empower farmers

We know that farming and operating a business can be a tough and lonely journey. A 2019 study conducted on Canadian farmers reported that 45% of farmers are on the verge of burn out, and 12% are already experiencing burnout (Producer). By coming together, we hope to offer support, encouragement, and other resources that could help our local farmers feel more at ease and confident about operating their farms.

Make local flowers accessible

In order to take back the floral industry, we must work to make local flowers accessible to our community. We strive to make local flowers accessible to both floral professionals and the general public. In addition, we hope to educate our community about the importance of supporting local flowers.

Encourage diversity and inclusion in agriculture

According to Zippia (2022), 86.4% of farmers in the United States are White. To help close the gap between racial and ethnic disparities within the agriculture industry, we strive to create a space where people of all cultures and backgrounds are welcome and feel safe.
